EV vs ICE: What's the Difference?

Electric Vehicles (EVs) use a battery and electric motor instead of an internal combustion engine (ICE) that burns petrol, diesel or CNG. Key practical differences include: no engine oil changes for EVs, generally lower per-km running costs, and different refuelling behaviour (charging takes longer than refuelling but can happen overnight at home).

ICE vehicles remain a strong choice for drivers without reliable home/work charging access, or those doing frequent very long highway trips where charging infrastructure is still developing in some corridors.
